Captain George S. Reynolds

Captain George S. Reynolds is the Managing Director of Security Administrators Limited, prior to which he was the Assistant Vice President for Security at the Port Authority of Jamaica.  He previously served as the Colonel Adjutant Quartermaster of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF), where he was the principal advisor to the Chief of Defence Staff on matters of Finance, Logistics, Personnel and General Administration.

He joined the Jamaica Defence Force in 1980, and completed his initial Officer’s training at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, England in 1981, after which he was posted to the JDF Coast Guard.  There, his training and duties encompassed Maritime Search and Rescue, Pollution Countermeasures, Diving and Salvage, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Communications and Maritime Operations.   He has held a number of sea-going Command appointments, commanding various ships in local and overseas deployments.

Other appointments which Captain Reynolds has held include Command of the JDF Supply Depot; Secondment to the Ministry of Transport and Works where he was instrumental in developing the administrative and regulatory framework for the Maritime Authority of Jamaica; Commanding Officer of the JDF Intelligence Unit and Inspector General.  He is a past Chairman of the CARICOM Sub-Committee for Intelligence and headed CARICOM’s intelligence operations for the hosting of the ICC Cricket World Cup Tournament in 2007.

Captain Reynolds, who is a Justice of the Peace, is a distinguished graduate of the US Naval Staff College and holds a Diploma in Human Resources Development and a Masters Degree in Maritime Administration & Environmental Protection.

He is the recipient of several awards including:  the Order of Distinction (OD); the Medal of Honour for Meritorious Service; an Achievement Award for Services to the Military from the Portland Chapter of the National Homecoming Committee and recognition as a Distinguished Alumnus by the Knox Past Students’ Association.
